Glassos, the new White Thassos

{ Posted on Apr 21 2009 by Victor Savona }

In addition to its line of granite, marble, limestone, Paper Stone, Ice Stone and engineered stone, Savvy Custom Stone announces it now fabricates Glassos.

Glassos has a marble like appearance. The numerous crystals formed in each panel subtly reflect light and create a striking visual effect. It’s superior qualities include resistance to acid and alkali as well as extreme hardness and zero porosity. Therefore, the material is suitable for exterior applications like building facades, where exposure to moisture , wind, rain and smog will not affect the surface sheen or cause the material to discolor.
Since Glassos has zero porosity, and has a Mohs hardness of 6.5 it is also a perfect choice for countertops. The surface will not stain and has resistance to abrasion and scratching.

Slabs are 120″ x 55″ and available in 3/4″ and 1 1/4″ thickness.
